Of these pardons 12 involve drug offenses. Many of those who received pardon were convicted of fraud. In total the money involved in these frauds adds up to over 2 billion dollars (yes, billions!) of which the lion share of 1.6 billion dollar is involved with the pardoning of David Gentille who was convicted of security and wire fraud.
