The text below was posted about a month before the 2024 election. I am leaving it up as this might continue to be important information for the future.
Candidate Trump recently distanced himself from Project 2025 saying that he knows nothing about it. Yet, the information on the authors directly taking from the Project 2025 document include many of his government members including Peter Navarro who very likely will be part again of his Government, if re-elected as President. Reading the list of names, it is clear that they represent those who are powerful and rich as well as organizations that subscribe to ultraconservative agenda items such total abortion bans. The self-stated goal of Project 2025 is to help the next administration (Trump) to quickly get off the start and implement their policy visions. These do not need to be repeated as they are already compared with the democrat platform in a separate post. In the meantime, many others have commented on the dangers to democracy Project 2025 poses, including John Oliver. In short, it is clear that candidate Trump is yet lying again when he says he knows nothing about Agenda 2025. In fact, many were working under his administration and are likely to be appointed (again) if Trump is elected. Thus, given that Agenda 2025 is so dangerous to democracy, it is important to call out the authors and know who they are in the first place. To aid in this, below is information on the authors and the organizations supporting Agenda 2025. Hopefully, this will help to prevent for example donations to these organization from unsuspecting citizens and to overall counter their actions and misinformation campaigns. Please note any underlined text is a link to another website providing additional information.

Project 2025 is published by the Heritage Foundation. US governmental officials including high-ranking ones such as Betsy DeVos, Mick Mulvaney, Rick Perry, Scott Pruitt, Jeff Sessions, and others who became members of Trump’s cabinet are directly tied to the Heritage Foundation. More on the history of the Heritage Foundation and its immense influence on US politics can be found Heritage foundation influence.
An NBC article points out that “Project 2025’s board of more than 80 conservative organizations includes nearly 40 that have received funding from dark-money groups linked to Leonard Leo, a major right-wing donor who influenced the shaping of the Supreme Court’s conservative supermajority under Trump. The Federalist Society, which is the society that has been vetting Republican Supreme Court nominees, is also funding the Heritage Foundation.
Leo was a key outside adviser to Trump on his judicial picks while he was in office, though their relationship has soured in recent years, The New York Times recently reported.
